An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.

following in the same vein as UTS, RUTI as in improvement in cohesion and futher melds the dark ambient atmosphere together with the metal, instead of having ambient tracks that set the atmosphere before the metal songs. there is so much to unpack from this album that really requires some dedicated listening. This album will challenge you to unravel its secrets and when they finally reveal themselves, you will be in absolute awe. TROBs first 2 albums are black metal essentials 5/5

I bought this on CD ages ago and it didn't leave my car's rotation for a couple years. I Raised this Stone as a Ghastly Memorial is one of those songs I consider a perfect representation of my taste in music.

I passed this up a long time ago, but the progression into uncharted territory demonstrated on their two subsequent offerings made me appreciate this a bit more. Black metal in its soul, this album strays from the genre enough to please those us of who veer more towards old school thrash, speed, and traditional metal.
